Grassroots awareness and the impact of Civic Tech in Nepal - Nepal made a significant improvement in the field of Openness, especially in Open Data. The government showed some commitment by starting a discussion and made some notable decision to promote the culture of collaboration. This was made possible because of the active participation of CSOs and grassroots awareness. Civic technology has been the backbone, projects like Open Data Nepal, AskNepal, NepalMap etc are making an impact. Using offline tools to build open content and introducing CC - This session will introduce WikiFundi, an open-source editing platform that provides an offline editable environment with a similar experience to editing Wikipedia or Vikidia online. WikiFundi provides the ability for teachers, Wikipedian communities and NGOs working in the knowledge space to learn about editing Wikipedia and contributing knowledge when internet access and electricity outages fail or are not available at all - Florence Devouard
