In recent years, the Open community have been looking towards ways to increase participation from developing countries, including African countries. However, in all of these, have we been ignoring the very basic thing that needs to be done? Is there enough focus on improving the awareness of the Open culture in Africa? How many Africans actually know about the existence of this amazing movement? How many Africans have even heard of it?
