Small libraries have been growing in the past few years. Often, the’re the result of local or community initiatives, not necessarily with allocated government/insitutional funds, thus have varied metadata standards with limited usefulness. Indonesia presents an interesting case where a loose community have developed an open source library management system, which has been widely adopted by libraries in Indonesia, with many language localisation built by volunteers from all over the world. A new one search service is recently developed to integrate findability across these varied collections.
