X-raying the Role of University Libraries in the Promotion of Open Access Resources Used by Students in Nigeria - The focus of this work is to x-ray the role of university libraries in Nigeria in the promotion of the use of open access resources in their domains. The tasks that the libraries have to create the necessary awareness that could promote the use of open access resources by students will be explained. The responsibilities of the library to provide access to the necessary infrastructure that could promote the use of open access resources will be outlined among others - Olawale Oyewole, Olalekan Awujoola, Olawale Iyinolakan, Olaide Akinbo

The Open Access Right: a proposal for action for the transformation of societies - Society never before has had as much information as at present; as well as, never before has society had so much need to have access to information. The UNESCO has declared that access to information is transversal to the development of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDG). Open access (OA) can be considered an option to address this need. However, in the legal foundations are identified formal lack for the management of OA. The proposal of an open access right (OAR), is an action for support to the achievement of the SDG's, freedom of expression, information and dissemination - Juan Miguel Palma Peña 

The Power of Engaging Citizens and Society in Life Sciences Research - In recent years, Citizen Science has become a global phenomenon and it brings great opportunities for the public to participate in the research process. The relationship between scientists and citizens creates a synergy that enriches the research and stimulates dialogue and learning. It allows creation and analysis of research projects that would otherwise prove impossible in traditional research settings. The talk should focused on successful Citizen Science projects related to life sciences and on proposal of implementation at our home institution in Brno, Czech Republic - Karolína Zoufalová
