The aim of this workshop is to understand the current needs of GLAM institutions when marking works in the public domain, and their challenges when using CC’s Public Domain tools, especially with regards to: hybrid works (in the public domain in some jurisdiction(s) and under copyright in others); copyright clearance assessments that GLAM institutions undertake; and communicating re-use of public domain works to the general public. This workshop is timely given the need for institutions contributing to projects such as Europeana and DPLA to convey copyright and public domain information.
