How Open is Distributed Design? - An Overview about the Distributed Design Market Platform and its Activities

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
This session will address the concept of Distributed Design (DD), the legal framework applicable to it, and its relation to CC licenses. The main questions will be: what are the challenges behind DD for CC? Is Distributed Design a Common? If so, is there a need to create new tools in order to accommodate it in CC?
The session will start by showcasing examples brought by the two EU funded platforms: DDMP and Careables. For instance, simple and creative design educational activities and tools as well as open designs aimed at actively improving the quality of life of those who struggle against an unfavorable and discriminative environment will be shown. Finally, open and distributed design will be contextualized within the ambit of CC and its community.
We look forward to receiving feedback, and a lot to discuss and design together!
