Have you always wanted to contribute to the Creative Commons, but aren’t sure where to begin or how to find the time? This session will share one professor’s journey in creating a course for the Creative Commons to fill an education void in her state. Identifying the need for a course, securing grant funding, and other critical decisions including collaborations and project management will be discussed in detail. An overview of the course’s features, timeline, licensing, and important lessons learned will be shared in hopes of inspiring other budding creators to contribute to the Commons.
