In January 2019, Creative Commons hosted its first 11-week CC Certificate Facilitator training course, including an apprenticeship with a CC certificate master instructor. Hear from trainees and instructors about their experiences and future plans. This course explored application of the ethos of Open in facilitation. Readings and discussions targeted inclusivity design, cross-cultural communication, traditional knowledge and cultural appropriations, and our own biases. Participants discussed their own experiences, evaluated their biases, and helped CC improve the Certificate course.

I'm passionate about opening cultural heritage, bookscanning, fostering access and public domain tools. I like to help people and communities to put forward digitization projects and to help them understand how copyright impacts on their daily work.
