Hosted by Dr Haggen So, the key note speaker advocating business model as a integral part of CC movement, we shall share Civic Liker - nano rewarding the open contents you Like, and how blockchain is relevant to CC.

Paywalls are now everywhere. With the success of Netflix, Spotify, Washington Post and other subscription services, closed gardens are becoming the norm. It is generally thought that in order to generate any income, content creators have to lock their contents. Put it the other way round, it is generally believed to license contents in Creative Commons is to forfeit all the income. We believe in openness and sharing but this does not necessarily have to be the case, and thus started Civic Liker as a movement to reward CC licensed contents.
