Attribution is a core element of CC licencing. The attribution requirement has to be manageable so that it can provide legal certainty. Yet, experience shows that many users are overchallenged with its complexities and that the obligation is a source of manifold errors. Many cases are reported where minor formal mistakes, like e.g. a missing hyperlink to the license, were legally attacked in lawsuits or cease-and-desist proceedings. This needs to be counteracted. A preferred outcome would be to find examples of good and best practises that could serve as a basis to phrase official guidelines.
