Feedback form is now closed.
This session, to be led by contributors to the Palestine Open Maps project (recipient of the first Bassel Khartabil Open Culture Fellowship), will invite collaborators from other projects to explore how open practice can contribute to the preservation of archival history of the colonised in ways that read the archive in a mode different to the one it had at its creation (against the archival grain). We will explore how project architecture (technical architecture; information architecture; storage modalities) and bureaucracy impact the history that is written into these archives.
